March 2024 Astrology Overview
Did you know big, bold, expansive Jupiter is the traditional planetary ruler of Pisces? Every planet has a sign that it “rules”, acting as a sort of guardian or ally to the sign. Some planets rule two signs, and some signs have two planetary rulers-a modern ruler and a traditional ruler.
Planets that were discovered more recently (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto), are known as our modern planets-only visible through a telescope.
The 7 “classical” or “traditional” planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn) are visible with the naked eye and were the only known planets until 1781 when Uranus was discovered.
For much of astrological history, Jupiter was considered to be the ruler of Pisces. The planet of growth, expansion, wisdom, fortune and good luck was associated with the sign of the fish. The last sign in the zodiac wheel, the keeper of the mystery, the cauldron where all of life dissolves, merging together, waiting to be born again in a time beyond time.

March 1-Sun sextile Jupiter
March begins with the Sun in Pisces forming a sextile aspect to Jupiter in Taurus. The sextile aspect describes a relationship between two planets that is juicy, creative, active and fertile. It is usually between two signs in complementary elements (earth and water, fire and air). The meeting of these elements is an alchemical dance that is alive and filled with possibilities.
Pisces water meets Taurus earth and clay is formed, a substance of endless creative potential and practical possibilities.
The Sun and Jupiter share an active, dynamic, outward oriented movement. While the Sun teaches us how to shine and center ourselves in our power, Jupiter enhances growth, stretching our beliefs and encouraging us to expand our horizons.
On this first day of March hope and possibility are supported and encouraged, as the Sun in Pisces sextile Jupiter in Taurus reminds us of the connection between our dreams and visions (Pisces) and the gifts of the earth (Taurus).
March 3-Venus Square Uranus-Feeling Frisson?
Frisson: a sudden strong feeling of excitement or fear; a thrill.

Relationships demand space, freedom and innovation, while navigating the changing structures of reality. This is a day of testing the boundaries of love, exploring how far we can go in changing the routines of our connections. This can be an exciting or even thrilling day, as new patterns of relating, or unexpected romantic possibilities may appear out of nowhere.
March 8-Mercury conjunct Neptune
If you want to learn how to activate your intuition and tap into your psychic gifts, this is one of the best days of the year to explore your “6th Sense”. Mercury in Pisces, our open, receptive mental awareness joins Neptune in Pisces , the magical, mysterious forces of the universe. Neptune has been moving through its ruling sign of Pisces since 2011, maximizing the watery power of the planet of spirit. Every year since 2011, as Mercury joins up with Neptune, we have an opportunity to tap into our collective imagination and unconscious mind. Navigating the oceanic space of imagination and intuitive “knowing”. If you can set aside some ritual space to make the most of this day you may be able to gather wisdom from your deepest self.
March 9-Mars square Uranus/Mercury into Aries
Bang! Kapow! Wam! Today is one of those “comic book reality” days. Action packed and filled with energy-there is a rebellious, “don’t fence me in”, outlaw vibe that can be sexy or irritating, depending on your perspective. Mars in Aquarius square Uranus in Taurus may find the drive for freedom challenged by extreme value shifts, while Mercury moving into Aries just wants to be heard.
March 10-New Moon in PIsces
The ourobourus is a symbol of a snake eating its tale, symbolizing the ending in every beginning and the beginning in every ending. Today’s New Moon in Pisces sextiles Uranus in Taurus emphasizing the sacred flow of life, as one form fades into another, for eternity. Invoke the ability to let go of control, allowing life to flow and be just as it is. This practice sets an intention for the next lunar cycle, preparing you for the rebirth of Aries season (coming soon!)
March 11-Venus into Pisces
Venus is exalted in Pisces, highlighting the ability to love as the divine/god/goddess loves. Venus in Pisces sees past human imperfections, appreciating their partner for what they do have, rather than what they are lacking. As Venus moves through Pisces over the next few weeks, we all have an opportunity to practice unconditional, divine love.

March 25-Full Moon in Libra/Eclipse Season
The first eclipse of 2024 features a Full Moon in Libra at 5 degrees. With the Sun shining brightly in Aries, the sign of its exaltation, there is a passionate, energized momentum in the collective. The Full Moon in Libra is a reminder to incorporate love, grace, beauty and connection into our drive towards new beginnings. Eclipses can bring a sudden, shocking awareness of hidden influences and buried needs. The stretch is to incorporate the right balance of self and other into all of our endeavors, ensuring that wholeness is part of every equation.
