Aquarius Season, Octavia Butler and Frozen Water

Aquarius season. Aquarius is an air sign, not the water itself but the container that holds the water bearer. Aquarius has the ability to shape and hold vision. To detach enough to see the bigger picture and show the way towards a possible future. In Octavia Butler’s book,  Parable of the Sower, she basically predicted the recent fires in LA and the current timeline we are in with the political currents shaping our country.

Octavia Butler had Aquarius’ ruling planets conjunct her Sun-she was able to look at where she was in 1993 and see how things might unfold if humanity continued on the same trajectory.

Aquarius is a fixed air sign and this  shapes its gifts as well as its challenges. Aquarius has a relationship to snow-frozen water, allowing a crystalizing of the emotional power of water and the ability to gain perspective through stopping the movement of an element that is usually in motion. Snow actually can fertilize soil with nitrogen, it acts as a natural ground cover. Just as Aquarius through its ability to keep a sort of mental distance and still point, can create mental ingenuity.
